Background of Karmojibi Kallayan Sangstha (KKS).
Karmojibi Kallayan Sangstha (KKS) founded in 1985 is a national level non-profit Human Rights Organization (NGO) in Bangladesh and has been working for the cause of disadvantaged Children, Poverty free society, a country based on social justice, peoople`s organization, liberation conciseness,development,awareness, human rights, pride in culture in tradition and bring about positive change of non-mainstreamed people with vulnerable brothel community, aspired security of old age people and children, eliminated gender discrimination and climate change. KKS implements several time bound projects across the country financed by Foreign Donors, local donors and also community Contribution. KKS is duly registered with Somaseba Odhidoptor-Raj-71/1989. NGO bishayak buro-FDR 683/1993. Micro credited regulatory authority -00796-04306-00428. Jubo unniyan adhidoptor –ju.u.o raj-182/2016. Mohila bishoyak adhidoptor- jembikka raj- 180/2016. KKS has taken sides - we are on the side of disadvantaged children - those opposed by violence, poverty, abuse and exploitation. KKS values are to: KKS is working to change the quality of life of disadvantaged children, youth, the elderly and women.
School for Coolie Children at Daulatdia Ferry Terminal in 1998 with its own funds to establish the right to education of disadvantaged children. Since 2012, 3 Adivasi Children's Schools have been established in Rajbari district in phases. These are-KKS Baliakandi Indigenous Children's School. 2. KKS Belgachhi Indigenous children`s school. 3.KKS Kalukhali Indigenous children`s school. KKS has been implementing this program since 2013 in collaboration with Plan Bangladesh in the belief of establishing a conscious child friendly society with sound child education and future leadership. In order to prevent the children born in the blind alleys of the society from being involved in the unacceptable profession of their mothers, the journey to the safe home started in 1997 with 5 children from Daulatdia brothel which is still going on today. Many of those children have returned to the mainstream of society. with 135 people working in various sectors with higher education KKS in collaboration with PKSF from 2019 onwards to create health and social awareness by involving the youth in different areas of Rajbari district with this slogan in mind. The KKS afternoon education program is being run with the financial support of Save the Children so that the children born in brothels can change their mentality by mixing with the children of the ideal society and realizing their own mentality and social norms. TVET Training Center is run with the aim of creating employment for the youth. KKS also carries out various activities including 1. Enrichment Program, Livelihood Development Program for the Elderly, Cultural and Sports Program, SSS Safe Home Project, Adolescent Program, Pradeep Project (Education), Y Moves Project and many more.
